I don't know know whether anybody here watched the Channel 4 programme on Wednesday where they were supposed to show Diana lying injured in the car after her fatal accident in the Paris tunnel in 1997. Well as there was a great deal of hype before hand and the two princes had wanted the programme stopped I decided to watch it to make my own opinion. I will say that although I did not entirely agree with the producers of the programme to go ahead with it I will say that nothing was seen at the crash scene that we had not witnessed before. We did not see Diana at all only a few paparazzi and the doctor who was attending to Diana at the scene. In fact every thing was blacked out so nobody could be insulted . I think the programme was done for sensationalism and with the publicity before hand the producers made sure many people out of curiosity would watch it. I must admit I was expecting far worse. Has anybody else here seen the programme and would like to comment on it?

Yes I watched the programme and I have to agree with you that it was shown for publicity and sensationalism. But I have to agree with Richard Madeley's comments in the Daily Express that these kind of programmes will be shown over and over again until we find the real cause of Diana's death. This programme he said cleared the paparazzi of the blame. I am not sure I completely agree with him .In some ways they did. They hounded her to her death! It will distress her boys ofcourse but until all the questions surrounding her death will be properly answered they will have to accept that it is not only their loss but that of all the British people and indeed the world.
